Free Chunky Crochet Basket Pattern is very easy to follow!
I think this basket turned out beautifully. What a stunning cozy for your favorite succulents! I love the yarn I used for the basket – Boston Originals (Schachenmayer). It feels so soft and one skein is enough to make one basket. The structure of the basket comes from double thickness of the fabric and also from the weight of the yarn.
It’s such an easy pattern, even for beginners. All you need is your crochet hook and a cup of favorite coffee or tea. You can relax and at the same time make something beautiful and useful.
This free chunky crochet basket pattern is written in standard US crochet terms. In case you are from Europe and you know only UK crochet terms, you can easily follow this pattern too! Just make double crochet instead of single crochet, that’s it. It is that simple!
Stitches: chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch,
Hook: 10 mm,

This pattern is for one chunky crochet basket. Dimensions of the basket are approximately: 5 x 5 inch / 12 x 12 cm. We work with 2 strings together! One bowl is good enough for one basket! We make all stitches into the back loops!
Start with the magic ring. www.wikihow.com/Crochet-a-Magic-Ring
RND 1: 6sc into magic loop start and pull the loop closed (6)
RND 2: 2sc in each back loop around (12)
RND 3: 2sc in each back loop around (24). You can mark the last 24th sc. I always do it.
RND 4: 8 x (sc in next 2 back loops, 2 sc in next back loop) = 32
RND 5 – 12: sc in next 32 back loops,
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends.
Ta-dah! You have made your very own Chunky Crochet Basket! Now make another one! Or two 🙂
